Getting Psyched About Your Kid’s Day Camp

The first day of your kid’s day camp has arrived! The moment you and your child have been anticipating finally came! Whether it’s your first or your twenty-first time heading to camp, there is a lot to be excited about! Here are some ways you and your kid can get psyched for an amazing summer at camp!

Go Ahead…Get Excited!

It may seem silly to make a point about getting excited for camp, but it actually does help to get kids into the camp spirit. You get what you give at camp; so the more excited your child is, the more fun it’s going to be. And don’t forget, enthusiasm is contagious. If you’re enthusiastic about camp, your child will pick up on it. The same is true if you aren’t enthusiastic. So get psyched, and your kid will be, too!

Some ways to get excited about your kid’s day camp is to talk about the friends they’re going to see, look at old camp pictures, watch videos of past camp activities and look at the current camp schedule to anticipate new fun. You can even have them teach you their favorite camp song! Remind your child of the fun they had last summer and how much they love camp!

Word Of Mouth Really Works

Going to camp removes you from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Camp provides an atmosphere where kids can truly be kids. Children can truly unplug and enjoy face-to-face interaction. Parents appreciate that their kids are learning lessons in socialization, friendship and teamwork. But camps need kids as much as kids need camp, and the best way to spread the word about a wonderful camp experience is to tell people! Word of mouth is still one of the best ways to advertise, because it’s both an advertisement and a testimonial at the same time. And you’re helping to keep your camp afloat for years to come!
