Exciting Activities at YPDC!
At Young People’s Day Camp, every day is packed with adventure, learning, and fun! From thrilling field trips to hands-on nature exploration, we offer an unforgettable summer experience filled with activities that campers love.
Field Trips: Adventures Beyond Camp
Each summer, we take campers on exciting field trips that bring learning and fun together! From exploring amazing wildlife at Turtle Back Zoo to other exciting destinations, our field trips give campers the chance to experience new places, make memories, and enjoy a change of scenery—all in a safe and supervised environment.
Swimming: Stay Cool & Have Fun
Nothing says summer like swimming! Our campers enjoy 1-2 swim days per week at the Edison Elks Pool, where they can splash, swim, and cool off under the careful supervision of certified lifeguards and our staff, only AFTER they are swim tested! Whether they’re practicing their strokes, playing water games, or just having fun with friends, it’s always a camper favorite!
Nature Exploration & Outdoor Skills
Camp is the perfect place to connect with nature, and we make the outdoors a big part of our program! Each week, campers participate in survival and outdoor skills lessons, where they learn things like basic navigation, shelter-building, and nature safety. It’s a hands-on way to build confidence, teamwork, and respect for the environment—while having a blast!
Classic Camp Fun: Games, Sports & Creativity
Some things never go out of style—like the nostalgic camp activities we bring to life every day! Campers get to run the bases in kickball, create masterpieces in arts and crafts, challenge themselves in relay races, and so much more. With a mix of sports, games, creative projects, and team-building activities, there’s something for every camper to enjoy!
