Different camps have different activities and itineraries; choose a camp with field trips that your child will enjoy. Here are the field trips scheduled for Young People’s Day Camp of Nassau County:

Long Island Children’s Museum: LICM is an interactive museum that offers an outdoor water play area during the summer and year-round hands on exhibits. They also offer craft activities and live theater performances. They excel at keeping kids mentally and physically engaged in positive, constructive activities.

Active Kidz: Active Kidz is an indoor bounce park featuring mazes, a cross over course, tunnels, obstacles, slides and so much more! The piece de resistance is a 31-foot, three-in-one combination sports arena with a bounce house, giant ladder and an even bigger slide. The name really says it all; Active Kidz keeps kids active and healthy.

Once Upon A Treetop: Once Upon a Treetop is an interactive, multi level, indoor playground. They feature slides, tunnels and a tree house. There is even a miniature town, with businesses and stores for pretend play and we all know that pretend play is crucial in a child’s development! Once Upon a Treetop is ideal for engaging children’s imaginations and encouraging children to play cooperatively.

Pump It Up: Pump It Up is an inflatables play park with tons of activities to offer. In addition to bounce castles and octagons, they offer sports bouncers to add some fun and silliness to the sports we know and love. They have inflatable fun for younger and older children, and activities that encourage older and younger groups to work cooperatively.

The Board Of Cooperative Educational Services Of Nassau County (Nassau BOCES) Environmental Center: The largest Board of cooperative educational services in the state, Nassau BOCES serves 56 school districts in Nassau County. Their environmental center uses a hands-on approach to teach environmental awareness. BOCES allows children to explore and learn on their own level using innovative methods and teaching tools. Children leave this adventure knowing and understanding the complexities of our environment.
